Laura Elgin, LMHC

Therapy is about empowering you to regain a sense of control over your thoughts, emotions, and, ultimately, your life. As your counselor, I’m here to offer support and guidance as you work toward understanding and managing these internal experiences—especially when they feel overwhelming or outside of your control. While you cannot be responsible for others' thoughts, feelings, or actions, you can choose how you think, feel, and respond to them. Together, we’ll explore the tools and strategies that can help you face these challenges with confidence, self-compassion, and strength.

My name is Laura Elgin, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with a master’s degree from Walden University. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in various settings, meeting a wide range of people, each with their own unique story and challenges. I’ve supported individuals dealing with struggles like depression, anxiety, self-image, self-worth, adjustment issues, grief, and trauma, among many others. These experiences have shaped my approach to therapy, allowing me to draw from proven methods such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and person-centered therapy to meet the unique goals of each person.

Whether civilian or military, couples or individuals, online or in person, my aim has always been to help people rediscover their strength, renew their hope, and find a deeper sense of purpose in their lives. Watching my clients grow and find happiness is the greatest reward of my work. For over 10 years, I’ve been dedicated to helping people feel more fulfilled and at peace with themselves, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to be a part of your journey toward greater well-being.
